Leica DISTO™ D3a BT – The Leica distance meter with Bluetooth® Technology and Smart Horizontal Mode™.
The Leica DISTO™ D3a BT has all the characteristics of the Leica DISTO™ D3a such as “Smart Horizontal Mode™, tilt sensor, calculation possibilities for rectangular and triangular areas, volumes, room dimensions and various types of Pythagoras functions.
However the unit also includes error free data transfer via Bluetooth™.
Bluetooth™ Data Transfer
With integrated Bluetooth® Technology, measurement results can be wirelessly and accurately transferred to Pocket PCs and PCs. You can easily process your data in Excel®, Word®, AutoCAD® and other compatible programs. The AutoCAD® Plug-In offers a convenient drawing by using the AutoCAD® software.
The navigation keys of the Leica DISTO™ D3a BT provide a further advantage as the movements of the cursor on the PC can be controlled to navigate around the compatible software.
Smart Horizontal Mode™
In this mode, the Leica DISTO™ D3a BT measures a distance and a tilt. From these two values it automatically calculates the horizontal distance. The measuring precision is increased considerably in a very easy way with this function. Furthermore, it can be measured over persons and obstructions without any problems. This is a significant advantage when in crowded interiors and furnished buildings.
Despite this functionality, the Leica DISTO™ D3a BT is simple to operate and extremely easy to use. The robust design with IP54 protection keeps the instrument safe from dust and splash water.

Smart Horizontal Mode™
Thanks to the combination of distance and tilt measurements you can determine the horizontal distance simply & precisely without the need to hold the unit level. You can take a measurement at an inclination of up to ± 45°, the Leica DISTO™ D3a will then automatically calculate the shortest horizontal distance allowing you to measure quickly and easily, even over the top of objects and people.

Room Angle Measurement
The Leica DISTO™ D3a features a simple function for the measurement of angles of room corners. In three quick steps the angle of the returning wall is displayed to a resolution of 0.1°. |

Tilt sensor
Thanks to the in-built tilt sensor, you can quickly and simply measure tilts up to ± 45°. This allows the user to measure the angle of staircases, disabled access ramps and with the use of the timer even roof pitch’s. With the use of the laser you are also able to transfer angles giving you a virtual 100m inclinometer.

Multiple functions
The Leica DISTO™ D3a can also calculate rectangular and triangular areas, volumes, room dimensions and various types of Pythagorean functions such as indirect height. A time delay release and enough memory for up to 20 measurements finish off the instruments wide range of functions.

Automatic Screen & Keypad Illumination
An built-in sensor detects if the environment is dark and switches on the illumination of the keypad and display. You can also measure in the dark without any problem. |

Multifunctional endpiece
Aim the instrument straight at the target point, whether measuring out of corners, slots or from edges: with this endpiece you are prepared for all measuring situations. The instrument detects the endpiece automatically, which helps you avoid expensive measuring errors.
