3-fold digital zoom
With the 3-fold,digital zoom supported by the blended in crosshairs, it is easy to aim the Leica DISTO™ A8 at faraway targets. Even if the laser dot is too far away to be seen by the unaided eye, the target is clearly recognizable. The display has nine brightness settings. Thanks to the grayscales the contrast levels are high, making the display easy to read - an invaluable advantage on sunny days!



Tilt sensor
The tilt sensor does not only measure angles but also actual horizontal distances and various indirect heights. Now measurements are possible to targets that do not provide any targeting points. For example: a user wants to measure the height of a building but cannot enter the yard or a modern glass facade that poorly reflects the laser beam. Conventional laser distance meters would not be able to perform these jobs. Now, they can be carried out easily.

The Leica DISTO™ A8 impresses with precise and reliable measuring results (typical accuracy: ± 1.5mm). Thanks to the new Power Range Technology™, measurements of up to 100 m are possible without a target plate, and up to 200m with a target plate. The multifunctional endpiece is very rugged even when extended and the built in endpiece sensor automatically recognizes the correct reference. Reliable measurements from edges or corners are now easier than ever before.

Taking measurements is made easier and more efficient as the most frequently used calculation functions can be quickly and directly called up with the short- cut keys. Just press a key to calculate the circumference of a room or the surface area of walls and ceilings.
